Automotive Mechanical Project Leader

About the role
The Mechanical Project Leader at Bosch coordinates all mechanical project components from development through production. The role acts as the technical counterpart to the Project Manager, ensuring that customer and internal requirements are met on schedule, within budget, and to specification.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and execute global multi‑disciplinary engineering activities for medium to high‑complexity automotive projects.
- Lead cross‑functional international teams, including purchasing, production plant, mechanical design, and testing engineers.
- Manage communication with internal stakeholders, external partners, and OEM customers on technical matters.
- Conduct risk management, project planning, tracking, and reporting within the mechanical discipline.
- Evaluate customer specifications, translate them into test coverage, and support issue tracking.
- Prepare technical releases, quality gates, and cost estimations, and control budgets throughout the project lifecycle.
Required profile
- Proven experience leading automotive mechanical projects of medium to high complexity.
- Ability to coordinate cross‑functional and international teams to meet project goals.
- Strong communication skills for interfacing with OEMs, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Knowledge of APQP processes and mechanical engineering best practices.
- Experience in budgeting, cost estimation, and risk management within project scope.
