Biological Specialist – Sonora

About the role

Yara International is seeking a Biological Specialist to be based in Hermosillo, Sonora. The role supports regional creation, launch and development of new biological products and the existing portfolio, driving market growth for Yara’s biological solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide regional support for the creation, launch and development of new biological products and the current portfolio.
• Develop the biological market across strategic crops and channels in the region.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver technical and commercial support, ensuring proper positioning of the biological portfolio.
• Coordinate with R&D on trials, protocols and data analysis together with the Biologicals Coordinator.
• Implement and communicate locally the value proposition and positioning of the biological portfolio.
• Support the sales team in post‑sale follow‑up, product quality queries, field results and handling of biological products.

Required profile

• Degree in Agronomy (qualified).
• Minimum 2‑3 years experience selling foliar fertilizers and bio‑stimulants.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Required skills

• Knowledge of foliar nutrition and bio‑stimulant products.
• Experience in market development for agricultural inputs.
• Ability to coordinate R&D activities, including trial design and data analysis.
• Understanding of key crops in Mexico such as walnut, table grapes, citrus and vegetables.
