Budgets and Forecast Analyst

About the role

ALTEN Mexico, a subsidiary of the ALTEN Group, is looking for a Budgets and Forecast Analyst. The role budgets monthly and annual Engineering spend by project and metafunction, and builds financial reporting tools. It combines functional and operational controlling and reporting with Power Platform and Power BI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the financial budget and forecast for Engineering
• Develop and implement solutions that use these technologies to solve financial reporting business problems
• Create custom templates, solutions and reusable components to streamline development
• Build workflows, data integrations and custom dashboards with Power Automate and Power BI
• Maintain data models, data flows and visualizations in Power BI
• Prepare annual Engineering budget, global SOW alignment and tracking, and special finance reports on request
• Organize reporting for all cost centers (WBS levels) and manage the requisition/invoice workflow and approval matrices

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Process or Mechanical Engineering, or Finance, in the automotive sector (mandatory)
• 3 to 5 years of experience in forecasting and budgeting
• Experience building solutions on the Microsoft Power Platform and SharePoint
• Advanced English
• Automotive sector experience is mandatory

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint) and the Power Platform (Power Query, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI)
• Advanced Excel
• SAP experience
