Business Development Manager

About the role

WORMS Safety is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand its AQF business across Mexico, the United States, and Canada. The role focuses on prospecting and converting brands, retailers, sourcing companies, traders, and suppliers, positioning AQF solutions as integrated quality, compliance, risk‑management and supply‑chain services.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, approach and convert new business opportunities among brands, retailers, importers, sourcing offices, traders and suppliers in the target regions.
• Build and manage a strong sales pipeline through market mapping, networking, outbound prospecting, referrals and client meetings.
• Promote AQF’s service portfolio—including product inspection, supplier audit, lab testing and quality‑management solutions—tailored to customer risk and compliance needs.
• Develop consultative sales approaches that link customer pain points to AQF’s quality, compliance and supply‑chain solutions.
• Prepare proposals, quotations and commercial presentations, and lead contract discussions to close new business.
• Collaborate with operations and technical teams to translate customer requirements into practical service solutions and ensure strong execution.
• Maintain commercial relationships with decision‑makers in quality, compliance, sourcing, procurement and supply‑chain functions.
• Monitor market trends, customer requirements and competitor activity to support regional growth strategy.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of experience in softlines or hardlines commercial, sourcing, compliance or supply‑chain roles.
• 3–5 years of experience in new business development, account acquisition or consultative B2B solution selling.
• Proven ability to engage commercially with customers in Mexico and the United States.
• Fluent English; Spanish strongly preferred for regional business development and client communication.
