Business Intelligence Specialist – Process Automation

About the role

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Specialist focused on process automation to support data‑driven decision‑making. The role blends BI reporting, light data engineering, and automation using SQL, Excel, and Python.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient SQL queries for ETL processes.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports in partnership with business stakeholders.
• Automate data pipelines and repetitive tasks with Python scripts (ETL, validation, integration).
• Clean, transform, and prepare data in Excel and relational databases for analysis.
• Document procedures, pipelines, and data sources to ensure reproducibility.
• Apply basic data‑quality and governance controls.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
• 3‑4 years of experience in BI, analytics, or data‑engineering focused on BI.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL (optimisation, joins, window functions, sub‑queries).
• Advanced Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, Power Query/Power Pivot).
• Python for automation (pandas, ETL scripting, file/API handling).
• Familiarity with visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Looker.
• Understanding of data‑warehouse concepts, dimensional modelling and ETL.
• Version control with Git.
• Basic exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) or orchestration tools (Airflow).
