Buyer

About the role

The Buyer will support Siemens Energy’s projects by managing purchasing activities for a defined group of commodities. You will work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure efficient tendering, procurement, and timely delivery of materials.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all purchasing responsibilities for assigned commodities.
• Develop and execute complex buying strategies to secure timely deliveries.
• Coordinate with engineering, project management, supplier quality, logistics and suppliers via email, Teams, and face‑to‑face interactions.
• Ensure organized tendering processes and smooth execution of projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of successful purchasing experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and capacity to handle complex assignments.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 10% of the time).
• Excellent communication skills in English.
