Buyer – Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Buyer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and ensuring the timely availability of materials, supplies, and services needed to support manufacturing operations. Working closely with internal teams and external suppliers, the role balances cost, quality, and delivery while adhering to company procurement policies.

Key responsibilities

• Procure direct and indirect materials, equipment, and services based on business requirements.
• Issue purchase orders and manage accurate order processing.
• Monitor supplier performance on quality, cost, and on‑time delivery.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels in coordination with planning, production, and warehouse teams.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms with suppliers.
• Resolve supply‑chain issues and proactively mitigate material shortages.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and potential suppliers.
• Analyze purchasing data to identify cost‑saving and process‑improvement opportunities.
• Support new product launches and engineering changes by ensuring material readiness.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records within the ERP platform.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics or a related field.
• 2–5 years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to work with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organizational skills.
• Advanced English communication skills.
