Buyer – Purchasing Specialist

About the role

Eaton’s IS VEH EMB division is looking for a Buyer to support the Purchasing department and help drive profitability through efficient procurement processes. You will work closely with internal customers and suppliers to ensure material availability, cost control, and compliance with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Identify cost‑out opportunities and implement savings initiatives.
• Review and resolve invoices on hold, preventing recurrence.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, item master data, and lead times in SAP.
• Generate purchase orders according to standard work schedules and SAP suggestions.
• Communicate material arrival updates to internal stakeholders.
• Monitor raw‑material inventory levels to meet monthly targets.
• Clear past‑due purchase orders and provide accurate delivery dates in SAP.
• Engage daily with suppliers on usage forecasts and material availability.
• Disposition rejected material and develop corrective action plans.
• Reduce purchase price variance (PPV) and explain any variances.
• Support adherence to EHS policies throughout procurement activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar purchasing role.
• Strong command of English (minimum 80% proficiency).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP for purchasing processes.
• Effective negotiation skills and ability to prioritize daily tasks.
