Commercial Contracts Attorney

About the role

Expeditors International is looking for a motivated Commercial Contracts Attorney with three to five years of experience to support its Real Estate and Global Sourcing practice group. The attorney will advise internal clients on legal implications and risk exposures related to real estate and procurement matters across multiple geographies.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the company in interactions with landlords, vendors, and service providers.
• Advise internal stakeholders on best practices, risk mitigation, and corporate requirements.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements, including confidentiality, lease, construction, equipment lease, asset purchase, services, and SaaS contracts.
• Support litigation management and respond to general legal inquiries from global business teams.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives owned by the Legal Department and the practice group.
• Manage multiple matters simultaneously while balancing competing priorities.

Required profile

• Law degree and a valid license to practice law in Mexico, in good standing.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
• Three to five years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
• Strong background in real estate and commercial law.
• Extensive experience drafting and negotiating contracts.
• Ability to assess and communicate legal risks clearly.
• High integrity, initiative, and strong work ethic.
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent time‑management and prioritization skills.
