Construction Project Manager – Regional (Mexico)

About the role

Autozone is seeking a Regional Construction Manager to oversee the construction of its stores across Mexico. Reporting to the Director of Construction, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Estimate costs on pro‑formas and approve layout plans for proposed stores.
• Manage the full construction lifecycle from design exchange to store hand‑over, including scheduling, budgeting, and problem resolution.
• Conduct site visits and pre‑construction inspections with Real Estate and Design teams to verify conditions and obtain approvals.
• Train and mentor project managers, ensuring work complies with plans and specifications.
• Monitor and audit operational field items (OFIs) to maintain cost efficiency and service quality.
• Identify and qualify new contractors and vendors for development services in Mexico.
• Collaborate with Operations to resolve store‑maintenance issues through regular meetings, site visits, and communication.
• Develop reporting, costing, and database tools for store maintenance activities.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree or equivalent in Business, Construction, or related field.
• More than seven years of experience in the construction industry, preferably fast‑track retail construction.
• Proven ability to manage multiple large‑scale projects simultaneously.
