Continuous Improvement Engineer

About the role

As a member of Brunswick’s Global Advanced Manufacturing Technology team, the Continuous Improvement Engineer will lead and support Lean Six Sigma projects aimed at enhancing safety, quality, delivery, cost and customer experience across manufacturing sites.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional DMAIC/Lean Six Sigma projects to reduce variation, defects, waste and cycle time.
• Define project charters, problem statements, goals, scope, benefits, timelines and stakeholder plans.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, Pareto, Process Mapping and Value Stream Mapping.
• Develop and implement sustainable solutions, including standard work, SPC plans, visual management and audits.
• Analyze process performance with statistical methods (capability analysis, hypothesis testing, regression, control charts) and ensure data integrity.
• Facilitate kaizen events and rapid improvement workshops, applying Lean tools such as 5S, SMED, visual management and pull systems.
• Partner with operations leaders to identify waste and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Legal authorization to work in Mexico (no visa sponsorship available).
• Willingness to travel occasionally to multiple sites, supplier visits or training.

Required skills

• Lean Six Sigma methodology (DMAIC).
• Statistical analysis tools (Excel, Minitab or JMP, internal BI tools).
• Root‑cause analysis techniques (5 Whys, Fishbone, Pareto, Process Mapping, Value Stream Mapping).
• Kaizen event facilitation and Lean tools (5S, SMED, visual management, standard work, SPC).
