Controller – Remote (Mexico)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our finance team remotely from Mexico. You will support a portfolio of fast‑growing SaaS and technology companies across North America, ensuring accurate financial reporting and strategic insights.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly and quarterly close processes and prepare financial statements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range financial planning.
• Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and operational performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Design, implement, and improve accounting procedures, controls, and workflows.
• Oversee revenue recognition and subscription‑based accounting activities.
• Drive automation and process‑optimization initiatives across finance functions.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to provide actionable financial insights.
• Manage, mentor, and develop accounting team members.
• Support audits, tax compliance, and external reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, audit, or controllership roles.
• CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Experience supporting SaaS, technology, or subscription‑based businesses.
