Controlling and Planning Specialist

About the role

Hitachi Energy is looking for a Controlling and Planning Specialist to support key financial decisions and strengthen business performance. In this role you will manage day‑to‑day finance activities, ensure compliance, and provide timely, accurate reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily financial operations, guaranteeing adherence to regulations, accounting standards and internal policies.
• Prepare and analyse financial statements, balance sheets, forecasts and regulatory reports.
• Support budgeting, cost control, inventory analysis and cash‑flow planning.
• Analyse revenues, liabilities, credit conditions and other financial indicators to aid planning.
• Advise managers on financial matters and contribute to business decision‑making.
• Ensure accurate and timely tax returns, declarations and required reports.
• Coordinate with external consultants and advisors to maintain high‑quality service.
• Lead projects or processes and mentor junior finance professionals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• Proven experience in finance management, financial analysis, accounting, controlling or similar roles.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, tax and accounting principles.
• Ability to analyse complex financial data and present clear recommendations.
• Experience managing projects or processes independently.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Capability to coach or review the work of junior professionals.
• Advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken.
