Corporate Legal Assistant

About the role

Moreton Capital Partners is seeking a highly organised, detail‑oriented Corporate Legal Assistant to support legal, compliance, and corporate operations across the firm. The role works closely with leadership, external counsel, and cross‑functional teams, providing exposure to a sophisticated investment manager.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, edit and track a variety of agreements including NDAs, consulting, vendor, employment contracts and offer letters.
• Coordinate contract execution, signature workflows and maintain contract repositories.
• Support HR legal processes such as offer letters, onboarding documentation, and employment compliance.
• Conduct legal and regulatory research, monitor developments and summarise findings for leadership.
• Maintain corporate records, assist with board materials, resolutions and corporate filings.
• Coordinate legal, compliance and operational projects, manage filing systems and track critical deadlines.
• Prepare reports, presentations and internal documentation for leadership.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in legal operations, corporate legal support, compliance, paralegal or contracts administration.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written communication skills for drafting and editing legal documents.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
