Customer Due Diligence Analyst (Level 1)

About the role

Checkout.com is seeking a Customer Due Diligence Analyst (Level 1) to conduct AML periodic and event‑driven reviews of merchants and sub‑merchants. The role ensures that customer information, ownership structures and transaction profiles remain accurate, compliant and aligned with internal standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform end‑to‑end AML periodic and event‑driven reviews, assessing ownership, business activity, processing volume and regional exposure.
• Maintain and update case information in Salesforce and Fircosoft Compliance Link, ensuring audit‑ready documentation.
• Raise and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) with merchants, account managers or internal stakeholders.
• Escalate high‑risk findings or policy triggers for secondary review and ensure timely reporting of suspicious activity.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps and suggesting solutions.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience with AML, KYC, KYB, CDD or EDD processes.
• Strong analytical and investigative mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage a high volume of cases while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
• Clear written communication for case notes, RFIs and stakeholder updates.
• Good judgement for escalation and secondary review decisions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Salesforce.
• Experience using Fircosoft Compliance Link.
