Customer Service Engineer – Renewable Energy Solutions

About the role

Digital and Data Solutions, a DNV company, is seeking a Customer Service Engineer to provide technical support for its cloud‑based renewable‑energy monitoring platform. Based in Mexico City with a hybrid work model, you will be the primary point of contact for customers worldwide, helping them optimise the performance of their PV, BESS and hybrid energy assets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and prioritise customer requests related to networking, dataloggers, field devices and communication issues via email, phone and Zendesk.
• Provide technical assistance for GreenPowerMonitor’s SCADA solutions, diagnosing hardware, networking and communication problems in PV, BESS and hybrid systems.
• Support configuration, commissioning and operation of the Power Plant Controller (PPC) and onsite SCADA installations.
• Implement project modifications such as control‑logic updates, hardware adjustments, PPC migrations and configuration changes.
• Create and update electrical diagrams and single‑line drawings in AutoCAD for plant layouts, network designs and device integrations.
• Maintain internal documentation and contribute to technical guides, procedures and knowledge‑base articles.
• Assist customers and field teams remotely during installation and commissioning, including network design, equipment selection, system setup and testing.
• Identify issues and propose improvements to support quality processes and enhance internal workflows and tools.

Required profile

• Passion for renewable‑energy technologies and customer support.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with remote field teams.
