Cybersecurity Engineer – Global Security Team

About the role

Ansell is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to join its Global Cybersecurity Team in Queretaro, Mexico. The role focuses on designing, implementing and continuously improving a wide range of security controls aligned with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework to protect the company’s digital assets.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, tune and enhance the security stack, including Cisco Breach Protection Suite, Microsoft Defender, TenableOne, Exabeam, WAF, Cisco Umbrella and Azure Identity Protection.
• Analyze alerts, investigate incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, contain and eradicate threats, and document lessons learned.
• Map security controls to the Identify‑Protect‑Detect‑Respond‑Recover functions of NIST CSF, conduct assessments and support external audits.
• Collaborate with IT and business units to integrate security measures and drive secure‑by‑design initiatives.
• Design and deliver KnowBe4 awareness campaigns and workshops, track behavioural changes and report metrics.
• Author and update security policies, incident‑response playbooks and SOPs, ensuring alignment with global standards and local regulations.
• Monitor threat trends and external security ratings (UpGuard, Bitsight, SecureScore), evaluate new tools, propose budget items and provide concise dashboards to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a dedicated cybersecurity engineering or operations role within a medium to large multi‑site enterprise.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC‑GSEC/GCIH or Azure Security Engineer are strongly preferred.
• Experience with at least three of the following domains: endpoint protection, XDR/SIEM, vulnerability management, identity security, network or email security.
