Cybersecurity Engineer (Hybrid – Guadalajara)

About the role

Sourceability is building a Global Engineering Organization and needs a hands‑on Cybersecurity Engineer to implement, monitor and improve security controls across its systems, infrastructure and engineering delivery processes.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, maintain and enhance security controls for servers, endpoints, cloud services, network infrastructure, identity systems and engineering platforms.
• Support vulnerability management: scanning, validation, prioritisation, remediation tracking and risk reporting.
• Monitor security alerts from endpoint protection, SIEM/logging tools, vulnerability scanners, firewalls, VPNs and identity platforms.
• Triage alerts, investigate suspicious activity, document findings and escalate incidents following the incident‑response process.
• Assist incident‑response activities, including evidence collection, containment support, remediation tracking and post‑incident improvements.
• Partner with Infrastructure/SysOps teams on server hardening, patching, configuration baselines, backup security, firewall rules, VPN access and network segmentation.
• Collaborate with DevOps and Software Engineering to embed security into CI/CD pipelines, code repositories, dependency management, secrets handling and application security checks.

Required profile

• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with on‑premise and cloud infrastructure.
• Hands‑on security engineering mindset with practical, operational focus.
• Ability to work across distributed teams and coordinate with multiple technical stakeholders.
