CyberSecurity Engineer

About the role

Avertium is seeking a CyberSecurity Engineer to join its Managed Security Services team. You will deliver technical support and guidance to global managed‑service customers, helping them improve security posture, troubleshoot security tools, and respond to incidents across Azure and AWS environments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical recommendations and guidance to clients on managed security products.
• Perform proactive maintenance, monitoring, and reactive troubleshooting of security solutions.
• Monitor health of security systems and use SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other tools for network investigations.
• Conduct post‑mortem analysis of logs and traffic to identify malicious activity.
• Research and stay current on testing tools, techniques, and process improvements for security tools and incident response.
• Collaborate with clients on issue management, implementation, and knowledge transfer.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in a cybersecurity engineering or similar role.
• Hands‑on experience with security tool deployment, server and network support.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in Windows and Linux environments.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK tactics, techniques, and procedures.
• Ability to produce internal documentation and architectural diagrams.

• Microsoft XDR, Microsoft Sentinel, SentinelOne.
• Cloud platforms: Azure and AWS.
• Operating systems: Windows and Linux.
• Scripting/automation: PowerShell, Regex.
• Query languages: Kusto Query Language (KQL).
• Monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana.
• SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, network monitoring.
• Cloud administration best practices.
• Microsoft certifications (AZ500, MS500, SC200, SC100) preferred.
