Data Engineer – Databricks (Mexico)

About the role

Zurich Insurance is seeking a Data Engineer with strong expertise in Databricks and cloud data platforms to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that support analytics, reporting, and machine‑learning initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks, Apache Spark and Azure services.
• Implement data ingestion frameworks for structured and unstructured sources, and maintain data lakes, warehouses and lakehouse architectures.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, ML engineers and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, production‑ready datasets.
• Ensure data quality, governance, security and cost‑efficient performance across platforms.
• Support CI/CD, DataOps and MLOps practices together with Azure, IT and DevOps teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, big‑data environments or data warehousing.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
