Data Scientist – Battery Health & Manufacturing Analytics

About the role

Join the Connected Services Business Unit as a Data Scientist focused on battery‑health algorithms and manufacturing intelligence. You will work with real‑time vehicle and machine data, applying advanced statistical and machine‑learning techniques to create predictive models and monitoring systems for customers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain data‑analysis pipelines that decode vehicle and machine signals related to battery usage and production.
• Develop, validate, and deploy battery‑health models that deliver reliable assessments to end‑users.
• Build predictive models to improve manufacturing throughput, reduce scrap, and enhance product quality.
• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to translate data insights into actionable solutions.
• Provide ML and statistical expertise to other departments as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience or equivalent academic experience (master’s/PhD).
• Strong foundation in hypothesis testing, experimental design, regression, classification, clustering, and time‑series analysis.
• Ability to communicate complex data‑driven insights to non‑technical audiences.

Required skills

• Programming in Python, Julia, or R.
• Experience with ML libraries such as Scikit‑Learn, SciPy, Statsmodels, PyTorch, and Keras.
• Data‑visualisation using Power BI or Tableau.
