Design & Technology Teacher (IGCSE/IB)

About the role

The Wingate School, part of the Inspired Education Group, is looking for a dynamic Design & Technology teacher to join its secondary team in Mexico City. You will deliver Cambridge IGCSE Design & Technology to Years 10‑11 and a bespoke STEM/ICT curriculum to Years 7‑9, fostering creativity and technical competence.

Key responsibilities

• Teach the Cambridge IGCSE Design & Technology syllabus, including one specialist area (Resistant Materials, Systems & Control, or Graphic Products), and prepare students for coursework and examinations.
• Deliver a tailored STEM/ICT programme for Key Stage 3, integrating hands‑on challenges and inquiry‑based learning.
• Design, plan and assess lessons that develop students’ problem‑solving, critical thinking and design skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the department’s curriculum and contribute to the wider school community.

Required profile

• Passionate about fostering creativity, technical aptitude and a deep understanding of engineering and design processes.
• Highly skilled in delivering secondary‑level Design & Technology education.
• Comfortable working in an international, collaborative school environment.

Required skills

• Experience with Cambridge IGCSE Design & Technology curriculum.
• Knowledge of at least one specialist area: Resistant Materials, Systems & Control, or Graphic Products.
