Desktop Support Specialist

About the role

The Desktop Support Specialist will ensure reliable operation of desktops, peripherals, and related cabling at our Guadalajara office. Reporting to the Senior Systems Administrator, you will also assist with Windows Server management and provide after‑hours infrastructure support when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain servers and desktop environments, including imaging and roll‑outs.
• Assist in administering the site desktop network and supporting systems.
• Develop and follow project, risk, and contingency plans.
• Provide after‑hours emergency support and occasional weekend maintenance.
• Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation.
• Perform special tasks as directed by management.
• Interact with customers and staff at a technical level.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred (or equivalent experience/certifications).
• At least 3 years of relevant IT support experience.
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
• Proficiency in English.

• Windows Server (2019‑2022) administration.

• LAN/WAN networking fundamentals.
• Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
• Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365, and SharePoint.
• Desktop imaging and deployment tools.
• Network troubleshooting.
