Director, Acceptance Specialist Sales – Mexico

About the role

As a senior leader within Mastercard’s Acceptance strategy for North Latin America, the Director, Acceptance Specialist Sales – Mexico will drive the commercialization, expansion, and innovation of the acceptance ecosystem across the country. The role focuses on building scalable acceptance opportunities with acquirers, PayFacs, PSPs, merchants and service providers to grow market share and revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the end‑to‑end acceptance growth strategy for Mexico, targeting new business opportunities across acquirers, fintechs, merchants and ecosystem enablers.
• Develop commercialization plans to increase activation, usage and acceptance penetration in priority segments such as SMEs, enterprise merchants and tourism.
• Originate, structure and negotiate complex multi‑party commercial agreements aligned with Mastercard’s strategic objectives.
• Build and maintain executive‑level relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on acceptance modernization and infrastructure transformation.
• Manage pipeline visibility and forecasting through Salesforce (SFDC) to meet revenue and KPI targets.
• Lead high‑impact sales presentations, RFP responses and business case development.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in the Mexican payments ecosystem and a proven track record of driving acceptance growth.
• Strong commercial acumen, data‑driven decision making and ability to structure complex deals.
• Executive influence and leadership capabilities with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and lead teams toward ambitious growth targets.

Required skills

• Salesforce (SFDC) for pipeline and forecast management.
