Director of Finance Shared Services Center

About the role

The Director, Shared Services Center – Finance will lead the stabilization and long‑term scaling of Fresh Del Monte’s Mexico‑based finance SSC. Reporting to the Vice President, Regional Finance, you will be the senior executive responsible for service delivery, operational excellence, and stakeholder confidence as the SSC becomes a core component of the global finance operating model.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end stabilization and maturation of the Guadalajara accounting SSC from build‑out to steady‑state operations.
• Define service scope, operating model, governance, and escalation frameworks.
• Develop multi‑year roadmaps aligned with enterprise finance strategy and growth plans.
• Act as the primary executive interface between the SSC, U.S. finance leadership, and regional stakeholders.
• Oversee process transitions, ensure operational stability during ramp‑up, and continuously improve quality, efficiency, and scalability.
• Establish, monitor, and improve SLAs, KPIs, and service quality metrics.
• Support a disciplined monthly close in a U.S. GAAP/SOX‑controlled environment.
• Partner with Controllership and FP&A to enhance data integrity and close predictability.
• Design and embed a strong control environment aligned with SOX, audit, and internal policies.

Required profile

• Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English.
• Extensive experience leading offshore or near‑shore finance operations for U.S. or global enterprises.
• Proven senior finance leadership with ability to operate strategically and execute tactically.
• Deep understanding of Mexican labor practices and cultural norms.
