Director of Operations – Food Manufacturing

About the role

Our client, a leading Mexican manufacturing group in the food sector, is seeking a Director of Operations to join the executive leadership team. This senior position is responsible for driving operational excellence, profitability, and sustainable growth across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and optimise day‑to‑day operations, including production, logistics, quality and administration.
• Define and execute an operational strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
• Drive performance improvements through KPIs and operational metrics.
• Manage the operational budget and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
• Lead cross‑functional initiatives and strategic projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and regulatory standards.
• Identify and implement continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Partner with the executive team to support long‑term growth strategy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or a related field.
• 5–10 years of operations experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food industry.
• Proven track record managing production plants for major companies (e.g., Grupo Bimbo, Sigma Alimentos, PepsiCo, Nestlé, Grupo Herdez).
• Strong understanding of supply‑chain, manufacturing processes and operational excellence.
• Excellent leadership, communication and team‑management abilities.
• Highly analytical, results‑driven and strategic thinker.
