Distribution Requirements Planner

About the role

IFF, a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients and health & biosciences, is hiring a Distribution Requirements Planner for its Health & Biosciences business. The role is based in Polanco, Mexico City, on a hybrid basis with on-site presence once per week. It balances short-term supply and demand for assigned warehouses while aligning to long-term planning objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Balance short-term supply and demand for assigned warehouses while aligning to long-term planning objectives.
• Monitor open orders and proactively address production, quality or raw material issues affecting the production plan.
• Lead order confirmation for designated warehouses so shipments meet customer and business requirements.
• Manage short-term supply disruptions by working with Customer Service, Manufacturing, Logistics, Transportation, 3PL partners and commercial teams.
• Support strategic planning and inventory management for supply chains involving external manufacturing partners.
• Track inventory levels, slow movers and other critical status indicators, and drive actions to resolve and dispose of inventory.
• Communicate proactively with cross-functional teams when product availability or service levels are at risk.
• Facilitate recurring scheduling meetings to keep the team aligned with the operating plan.
• Develop and track key performance indicators to measure schedule execution and identify improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2-3 years of experience in Supply Chain or Operations roles.
• Strong knowledge of supply planning principles and inventory management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Advanced spoken, written and reading English.
• Continuous improvement mindset with problem-solving capability.
• APICS CPIM certification or equivalent, and previous experience with external manufacturing partners, are strong advantages.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• SAP, APO or BW experience strongly preferred.
