Electrical Engineer - Transformer Manufacturing

About the role

Hitachi Energy is looking for an Electrical Engineer in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico, to act as the technical link between Design Engineering and Production and Test teams. The goal is to help turn complex transformer designs into efficient, high-quality production results, with work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main technical interface between Design Engineering and Production/Test teams.
• Interpret and communicate engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), scripts and design intent to support manufacturing.
• Provide technical guidance so designs are implemented correctly on the production floor.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges during manufacturing and testing.
• Partner with Design Engineering to clarify specifications and improve design execution.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, and deliver training and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Drive continuous improvement, standardization and design-for-manufacturability initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment supporting engineering, production or technical operations.
• Knowledge of transformer design principles and how design changes affect performance and manufacturability.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, BOMs, manufacturing processes and design-to-cost principles.
• Business-level English communication skills, with strong problem-solving, collaboration and interpersonal abilities.

Required skills

• Experience using engineering and business systems such as CAD and ERP platforms.
