Facilities Engineer – Plant Operations

About the role

The Facilities Engineer will ensure that all plant facilities and infrastructure are properly designed, built, operated, and maintained to support production activities. This role involves managing improvement projects, guaranteeing compliance with safety and environmental standards, and optimizing facility performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, construct, modify, and maintain plant facilities in collaboration with architects, engineers, and contractors.
• Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines for construction and renovation projects.
• Coordinate construction activities, ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operation and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
• Work with safety and environmental teams to develop and enforce safety protocols.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot equipment and facility issues, coordinating repairs and maintenance as needed.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in the facilities field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Facilities Engineering.
• Previous experience in facilities management or engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of building systems and infrastructure, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection.
• Familiarity with safety regulations, environmental compliance, and building codes applicable to manufacturing facilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
