Field Engineer – Measurement While Drilling (MWD)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Field Engineer to join our drilling services team in Cunduacán, Tabasco. You will work on‑site supervising Measurement‑While‑Drilling (MWD) operations, ensuring accurate data delivery and high‑quality service for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise MWD processes, including tool preparation, data acquisition, log generation and quality control.
• Test all tools and equipment before, during, and after each job to prevent service impact.
• Assist in technical consultations covering mud hydraulics, Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA) planning, formation evaluation and drilling dynamics.
• Complete required forms, databases and reports such as service vouchers, equipment loss records and end‑of‑job surveys.
• Coordinate with the Directional Driller to ensure BHA compatibility and correct tool‑face references.
• Participate in performance‑improvement initiatives and adhere to safety certifications.

Required profile

• Degree in a STEM field (Electronics, Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, etc.).
• At least 2 years of verifiable on‑shore or off‑shore MWD/LWD experience.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Strong communication, arithmetic and data‑entry skills.
• Relevant on‑ and offshore safety certificates.
