Finance Officer – Tax

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Finance Officer – Tax to join our growing Finance team in Guadalajara, Mexico. The role ensures full tax compliance for both Mexican and U.S. entities, supports tax planning, reporting, audits, and cross‑border tax matters, and contributes to process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit federal and state tax returns for U.S. entities, including income and sales/use tax.
• Ensure compliance with Mexican tax obligations such as IVA, ISR, and local filings.
• Maintain tax compliance calendars and monitor deadlines for both jurisdictions.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual tax provisions and reconcile current and deferred tax accounts.
• Coordinate transfer pricing compliance and documentation between Mexican and U.S. entities.
• Collaborate with external tax advisors on international tax matters and legislative updates.
• Assist tax audits with Mexican (SAT) and U.S. (IRS and state) authorities and prepare supporting documentation.
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation initiatives, and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• 3–5 years of tax compliance experience covering both Mexican and U.S. tax requirements.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican tax regulations (SAT, IVA, ISR) and U.S. federal and state tax rules.
• Familiarity with international tax treaties, NIF/IFRS, and transfer pricing concepts.
• Experience in multinational or cross‑border environments, preferably in agriculture or agribusiness.
