Financial Controller – Finance & Accounting

About the role

We are searching for a Financial Controller focused on Finance & Accounting to lead finance operations for a large‑scale manufacturing business. The role involves deep business understanding, challenging existing processes, and driving operational improvements through finance.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve account reconciliations and journal entries, guiding the team on technical aspects.
• Prepare monthly financial statement packages, footnotes, and schedules for corporate reporting.
• Conduct P&L and balance sheet reviews to ensure data integrity across systems.
• Perform variance analysis on material, labor and overhead costs, providing insights and recommendations.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and analyze actuals versus variances.
• Present month‑end results and recommendations to the CFO and senior leadership.
• Manage travel and expense accounting processes and systems.
• Oversee internal and external tax and audit requests.
• Support cross‑functional projects and collaborate with other departments on special assignments.
• Control and forecast departmental expenses and guide capital acquisition requests.

Required profile

• At least 8 years of experience in accounting/audit, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role.
• Accounting degree or equivalent qualification.
• Strong project management, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with advanced English proficiency.
• Experience in a fast‑paced team environment and ability to meet tight deadlines.
