Senior Accountant (LATAM)

About the role

Oyster is looking for a hands‑on Senior Accountant to own day‑to‑day accounting, monthly reporting, and ERP activities for its global entities, with a focus on LATAM coverage. The role is fully remote, but you must be based within the -3 / -8 UTC time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle accounting and intercompany transactions for global subsidiaries.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end close activities, preparing financial statements and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Coordinate statutory filings, audits and provide support packages for local jurisdictions.
• Own ERP activities, improve accounting standards, controls, documentation and automation.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of accounting experience, including senior‑accountant scope.
• CPA (or part‑qualified) or equivalent professional qualification.
• Strong knowledge of multi‑entity accounting, intercompany transactions, financial reporting and audit support.
• Meticulous attention to detail, logical problem‑solving and ability to prioritize competing deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, large data sets).
• Experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP system.
• Payroll accounting or SaaS accounting experience (nice‑to‑have).
