Internal Controls Intern – Finance

About the role

Lilly is seeking a high‑potential student to join its Finance team as an Internal Controls Intern in Mexico City. The internship provides hands‑on experience with internal controls, SOX compliance, and digital transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Support monitoring and execution of internal and SOX controls, including testing and evidence gathering.
• Validate employee expense reports and perform data analysis to identify exceptions and improvement opportunities.
• Assist in creating, updating, and documenting policies and procedures.
• Collaborate on automation projects using Microsoft Power Platform tools.
• Prepare reports, KPIs, and dashboards with Excel and Power BI.

Required profile

• Student pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field with at least two years remaining before graduation.
• Intermediate‑to‑advanced English proficiency and strong organizational attention to detail.
• Availability to work 6 hours per day on a morning shift.

Required skills

• Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, data analysis, database management).
• Basic knowledge of SAP (preferred).
• Familiarity with Power BI, Power Automate or Power Apps.
• Experience or interest in generative AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot or Claude.
