Senior Manager, Finance – Mexico

About the role

Moderna is looking for a Senior Manager, Finance to lead the finance function for its Mexico affiliate and act as the authorized Legal Representative. The role provides statutory, tax and financial support while partnering with commercial teams across Latin America.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the legal representative for Moderna Mexico, handling interactions with SAT, IMSS, customs and other authorities.
• Oversee local tax registration, filings, accounting obligations, payroll, social security and labor‑related finance operations.
• Manage banking relationships, treasury functions and ensure robust internal controls over payments and reconciliations.
• Partner with commercial leaders to provide financial analysis, forecasting, scenario modelling and support for market expansion initiatives.

Required profile

• Mexican tax resident eligible to act as Legal Representative.
• Fluent in Spanish and strong professional English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Tax or related field; CPA or tax specialization preferred.
• 8‑10 years of progressive experience in Mexican finance, tax, accounting, payroll and social security.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Mexican tax law, statutory reporting and e‑Firma usage.
• Experience with monthly accounting close, financial statements, bank reconciliations and payroll processing.
