Financial & Planning Specialist (LAC) - Mexico City

About the role

A detail-oriented, highly analytical Financial & Planning Specialist (LAC) is sought to join Marsh's team in Mexico City (Arcos Bosques). The role supports financial forecasting, budgeting and analysis to back strategic decisions, and works closely with the management team and department leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze trends in key performance indicators, especially financial metrics such as sales, expenses and profit margin, and monitor them to find causes of unexpected variances.
• Review and analyse financial planning information and reports, recommending changes to management.
• Support management and department leaders with data-driven analysis, develop and test financial models, and evaluate financial plans against outcomes and potential returns.
• Assist in the month-end close by preparing recurring and ad-hoc performance reports, researching general ledger activities and budget variances.
• Prepare financial presentations with charts, graphs and econometric models, and assist in building budgets and quarterly forecasts.
• Update financial databases and continuously improve budgeting, projections and operating forecasts.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, industrial engineering or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in multinational companies.
• Advanced English, written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail and stakeholder management.

Required skills

• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Business Intelligence tools (Power BI, Cliq, etc.) is a plus.
