Fixed Asset Accountant – Record to Report

About the role

Autoliv is seeking a Fixed Asset Accountant to join its Finance team in Queretaro. You will be responsible for month‑end close activities, financial reporting, and supporting audit processes within a Record‑to‑Report (R2R) environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute month‑end close (MEC) tasks, including journal entry preparation, posting, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Analyze balance‑sheet and P&L accounts such as accrued expenses, prepaids, cash & banks, payroll, fixed assets, equity revaluation, and intercompany balances.
• Prepare accurate financial data and reports for management and external reporting.
• Develop budgets and forecasts to support strategic decision‑making.
• Create and maintain KPIs and dashboards using Power BI and Excel to monitor R2R performance.
• Identify and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives, focusing on standardisation and automation.
• Support internal and external audits, providing documentation, reconciliations, and SOX/compliance evidence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (master’s degree is a plus).
• 3–5 years of experience in Record‑to‑Report, Fixed Asset or General Accounting.
• Business‑level English (written and verbal).
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently in an SSC environment.
• Experience supporting audits and knowledge of SOX and NIFS requirements.

Required skills

• ERP systems – JD Edwards, Oracle or similar.
• Advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables, macros).
• Power BI for reporting and KPI tracking.
• BlackLine (desirable).
• Understanding of US GAAP and IFRS (desirable).
• SOX and NIFS compliance knowledge.
