Gallery Attendant – Sales Floor Service Assistant

About the role

The Gallery Attendant supports the sales floor by ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and staff. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, setting up service stations, and coordinating with kitchen staff to deliver a seamless experience.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare hot beverages (coffee, tea) and stock coolers with cold drinks at the start of the shift and replenish throughout the day.
• Set up and refresh coffee service for employees each morning on the mezzanine.
• Arrange plates, glasses, cutlery, and napkins for service and serve drinks and starters to arriving customers.
• Ensure food is served according to service and sanitary standards, and that orders are accurate and timely.
• Monitor vendor tables, respond to additional requests, and provide extra service as needed.
• Collect and wash dirty dishes, glassware, and utensils, maintaining a tidy service area.
• Keep water and anti‑bacterial gel dispensers clean, and maintain the warehouse and sales room in an organized state.
• Adjust background music, order supplies, and report any equipment malfunctions to the Operations Manager.
• Perform end‑of‑day cleaning of refrigerators, coffee pots, microwaves, toasters, and dispose of trash.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; minimum six months experience in customer service or food‑and‑beverage roles.
• Basic verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to follow written or oral instructions and adapt to changes quickly.
• Physical stamina to carry boxes, heavy trays, and stand for long periods.
• Professional attitude, punctuality, and strong customer‑service orientation.
