Global Project Buyer

About the role

The Global Project Buyer supports development projects at Intercable Automotive Solutions from the Saltillo plant, working within the global procurement organization. The role ensures timely sourcing of materials, components and services while meeting cost, quality and delivery targets.

Key responsibilities

• Request quotations, compare prices and commercial conditions, and analyse supplier offers.
• Negotiate deadlines and pricing, monitor compliance and select suppliers in line with strategic buyers.
• Track delivery deadlines, provide feedback to internal stakeholders and coordinate special transport when needed.
• Facilitate technical coordination between internal teams and suppliers; participate in project and procurement meetings.
• Identify synergies across projects, propose cost‑saving initiatives (e.g., VAVE) and maintain internal quality standards.
• Maintain master data for articles and suppliers, support supplier approval documentation and feasibility studies.
• Provide support to other procurement teams to ensure an efficient global process.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in economics, preferably with a focus on procurement.
• Experience in purchasing and/or project management; basic technical understanding is a plus.
• Very good English skills (C1 level).
• Strong communication, negotiation and organisational abilities.
• Proactive, team‑oriented and able to work independently.
