Head of Government & Policy Advocacy – LATAM North

About the role

Ericsson is looking for a senior leader to head Government & Policy Advocacy for the LATAM North region, with a primary focus on Mexico. The role will shape Ericsson’s public policy agenda, build trusted relationships with government and regulatory bodies, and support business growth across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute government engagement and advocacy strategies aligned with Ericsson’s business priorities in LATAM North.
• Serve as the company’s ambassador to ministries, regulators, diplomatic missions and industry associations.
• Lead direct engagement with government and regulatory authorities in Mexico and neighbouring markets.
• Monitor political, legislative and market developments and translate them into actionable business insights.
• Influence policy positions through trade‑association work and direct advocacy.
• Prepare and deliver briefing materials, speeches and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with regional and global teams to ensure alignment of policy objectives.
• Travel across Latin America, the United States and Europe as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience engaging with government and regulatory stakeholders in Mexico.
• Deep understanding of Mexican and regional policymaking processes in the technology and telecom sectors.
• Strong analytical ability to assess legislative developments and communicate business impact.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience representing an organization publicly.
• Demonstrated stakeholder‑management and influencing capabilities in a matrixed environment.
• High standards of integrity, confidentiality and ethical judgment.
• Proactive, adaptable and strategic mindset.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
