Head of Legal

About the role

The Head of Legal will act as the principal legal advisor to the executive team of a fast‑growing multi‑site organization. This senior position is responsible for shaping the legal and corporate affairs strategy, ensuring compliance, and protecting the company’s reputation as it expands.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the organization’s legal and corporate affairs strategy.
• Oversee corporate governance, including board and shareholder support.
• Ensure regulatory compliance across all business units.
• Lead negotiation, drafting, and review of strategic commercial contracts.
• Manage external counsel relationships and control legal spend.
• Identify and mitigate legal and reputational risks through proactive advisory.
• Handle labor and employment matters, including dispute prevention and resolution.
• Support expansion projects, acquisitions, leasing, permits, and real‑estate transactions.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with a strong academic background.
• 15+ years of progressive legal experience, including senior leadership roles such as Head of Legal, Legal Director, or General Counsel.
• Proven experience advising C‑suite executives and senior leadership teams.
• Experience in multi‑site or highly regulated environments.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Deep expertise in corporate law, commercial contracts, governance, compliance, labor law, and regulatory matters.

What we offer

• Competitive salary of MXN 150,000‑180,000 gross per month.
