Head of Production

About the role

As the Head of Production at Brose Group, you will lead the manufacturing function for an automotive supplier that is expanding globally. You will be responsible for aligning production capacity, equipment and workforce with market demand while ensuring safety, quality and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Approve manufacturing plans and budgets, guaranteeing sufficient capacity, equipment and labor.
• Monitor production performance, delivery dates, waste, downtime and inventory levels.
• Control safety, quality and production KPIs in pre‑production and final assembly.
• Manage unit costs and drive cost‑reduction initiatives together with managers, suppliers and customers.
• Resolve production issues, coordinate with internal departments and minimise delivery disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental regulations and promote a safe work environment.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects to optimise equipment, processes and yields.
• Recruit, train and develop the production team, expanding its size and capabilities.
• Oversee environmental management in the production area in line with Brose standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar production leadership role within the automotive industry.
• Proven knowledge of productivity systems and cost‑control methods.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and people‑development abilities.
