Head of Production

About the role

The Head of Production will lead and optimise all manufacturing operations for Continental, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity and profitability targets are met. This senior position provides both strategic direction and hands‑on operational leadership across the production organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, manage and coordinate all production activities to guarantee safe, efficient and cost‑effective operations.
• Translate the plant’s production strategy into actionable plans and drive flawless execution.
• Develop and execute plans for capacity expansion, productivity improvement, workforce planning and resource optimisation.
• Achieve targets for production output, quality, delivery, cost, inventory and customer satisfaction.
• Implement lean manufacturing, CBS methodologies and other productivity initiatives to drive operational excellence.
• Lead continuous‑improvement programmes focused on waste elimination, process stability, quality enhancement and cost reduction.
• Identify, justify and manage capital investments, automation projects and technology upgrades.
• Collaborate with Business Area, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance and Finance teams to support overall business objectives.
• Participate in global, regional and local cross‑functional projects to improve manufacturing performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading large‑scale production or manufacturing organisations.
• Strong strategic and operational leadership capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to drive continuous‑improvement and lean initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Track record of managing capital investment and automation projects.
