Hydraulics Simulation Engineer – Powertrain

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Simulation Engineer to join Bosch’s Transmission Control Engineering team in San Luis Potosí. The role focuses on developing and executing hydraulic simulation strategies to support design, validation and optimisation of power‑train components and subsystems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead simulation and analysis of hydraulic circuits within transmission and thermal control systems.
• Develop simulation work packages aligned with Product Engineering methodologies.
• Perform 1D hydraulic simulations to propose and validate product designs using advanced tools.
• Analyse and optimise electro‑hydraulic solenoids to improve system performance, including pressure‑oscillation mitigation.
• Conduct simulations in accordance with project specifications, cost targets and timelines.
• Support testing activities by interpreting product functionality, failure modes and performance data.
• Present simulation results and insights to internal stakeholders and external customers.
• Evaluate technical specifications to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
• Continuously improve simulation tools and methodologies to enhance design feasibility and efficiency.
• Stay current with emerging simulation technologies and promote safety standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related technical discipline (Master’s degree a plus).
• 2–3 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in simulation or product development roles.
• Proven experience developing simulation models, especially for hydraulic systems.
• Familiarity with product testing and validation processes.
• Hands‑on experience with CAE/CFD tools is highly desirable.
