IB High School English Teacher

About the role

Eton School Mexico is seeking a passionate English teacher to guide high‑school students (Grades 11‑12) through the International Baccalaureate (IB) and Middle Years Programme (MYP) curricula. You will inspire learners to develop strong reading, speaking, and comprehension skills while fostering critical thinking and socio‑emotional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess English lessons aligned with IB and MYP standards.
• Guide students in the Extended Essay and Personal Project components.
• Participate in parent‑teacher conferences and school events as required.
• Maintain a disciplined, engaging classroom environment.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in English Literature (or related field).
• Native English speaker.
• Minimum three years of teaching experience at middle‑school or high‑school level.
• Familiarity with IB programmes, Extended Essay, and Personal Project.

Required skills

• Strong organizational abilities.
• Effective classroom management.
• Experience planning lessons for teenage learners.
• Knowledge of pedagogic strategies for IB curricula.
