Indirect Buyer – Procurement Specialist

About the role

ABB is looking for an Indirect Buyer to support its Electrification Business in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon. You will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing indirect materials while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and driving cost‑effective solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate purchase orders in the ERP system based on requisitions and standard procedures.
• Confirm deliveries with suppliers, monitor performance, and track compliance with PO requirements.
• Negotiate agreements, renew price lists, and manage terms and conditions with key suppliers.
• Recommend and implement frame agreements after management approval.
• Analyze and evaluate bids to select optimal value for the organization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, administration, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in procurement, finance operations, or audit, with at least 2 years in indirect procurement.
• Proven track record of process improvement and compliance enforcement.
• Experience working in a matrix organization and collaborating across departments.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Required skills

• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Coupa, or Ariba.
• Use of procurement analytics tools for spend analysis and supplier performance.
