About the role
BlueScope is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join its plant operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing scheduled preventive maintenance and responding promptly to corrective failures across a range of equipment.
Key responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on plant machinery.
- Address corrective failures in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
- Conduct safety inspections on machinery and equipment.
- Document all activities and work orders in the maintenance management system.
- Adhere to safety, quality, and 5S standards.
- Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives to reduce idle time.
