Quality Manager – Compressor Manufacturing

About the role

Danfoss is launching a new compressor manufacturing facility in Apodaca, Nuevo León, and needs a Quality Manager to define and embed a world‑class quality system. You will shape the quality foundation, ensuring that every product meets safety, reliability and performance standards before reaching customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead the site quality strategy and Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
• Establish and optimise process controls for welding, assembly, leak testing, painting and final product validation.
• Build and manage supplier quality programmes for critical component suppliers.
• Lead cross‑functional teams through structured problem‑solving to eliminate root causes and reduce defects.
• Define, monitor and maintain quality standards, inspection methods and calibration systems to ensure regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading quality functions in a manufacturing environment, preferably in compressors, HVAC or refrigeration.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, auditing and corrective‑action methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to implement process controls, quality planning tools and root‑cause analysis.
• Experience with supplier quality, product validation and reliability testing.
• Professional fluency in English and Spanish.
