Maintenance Technician – Preventive & Corrective

About the role

BlueScope is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join its operations team. The role focuses on ensuring equipment reliability through scheduled preventive maintenance and timely corrective actions.

Key responsibilities

• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on plant machinery.
• Respond promptly to corrective failures and restore equipment functionality.
• Diagnose and resolve issues in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Conduct safety inspections on machinery and equipment.
• Document all activities and work orders in the maintenance management system.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and 5S standards.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives to reduce downtime.

Required profile

• Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment.
• Ability to work independently and follow safety procedures.
• Commitment to quality standards and continuous improvement.
