Integration Engineer

About the role

WorldStrides is looking for an experienced Integration Engineer to design, build, and support secure, scalable integrations across enterprise systems, third‑party platforms, and internal applications. The position is based in Mérida, Mexico and will help improve data exchange and support business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain integration solutions using Azure Integration Services.
• Build and manage REST APIs with Azure API Management and enforce API lifecycle best practices.
• Create message‑based and event‑driven integrations using queues, pub/sub patterns, and event streaming.
• Work hands‑on with Azure Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hub, Web Apps, SQL, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization using OAuth 2.0, JWT, certificates, and mTLS.
• Develop automation scripts and internal tools in Python.
• Apply DevOps practices: CI/CD pipelines, version control, automated deployments, and environment management.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and support production integration environments.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with Azure Integration Services and Azure API Management.
• Strong understanding of REST and SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, and data transformation.
• Familiarity with message queues, pub/sub, and event‑driven architectures.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with architects, product owners, developers, QA, and business stakeholders.
